Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information.
The C+ Factor respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you entrust to us, in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
Who is responsible for protecting your information
Brigitte Teske, the person responsible for personal information protection at The C+ Factor, Montréal, Québec. For any question about this policy or your information: brigitte.teske@cplusfactor.com.
What we collect
- Anonymous visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) — cookieless and with no personal data. They tell us how many people visit the site and which pages they view, without ever being able to identify you. Always on.
- Detailed analytics (Google Analytics 4) — enabled only with your consent. They help us understand how the site is used (pages viewed, device type, referring site) so we can improve it. This data is processed by Google LLC and may be stored or processed outside Québec, including in the United States. Google LLC is contractually bound to uphold recognized protection standards. Without your consent, nothing is collected by Google.
- Communications — the email, phone number, and details you voluntarily send us when you get in touch. Messages sent through our contact form are delivered via Amazon SES (Montréal region, Canada) to our mailbox.
Your information is used only for the purposes described above. We do not use it for any other purpose without your consent.
The cookies we use
A technical cookie remembers your choice (accept or decline) so we don't ask again on every visit; it is used for no tracking. If you accept the detailed analytics, Google Analytics also sets its own cookies — never before you agree.
Consent and managing your choices
Detailed analytics run only after your explicit consent, given via the banner shown on your first visit. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Retention
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Information you send by email is kept only as long as needed to follow up on your request.
Your rights
Under Law 25, you may request access to your information, its correction, the withdrawal of your consent, or a copy of the computerized information you provided to us. We respond to any access or correction request within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
